Mini Suri, a brilliant contributor to the tech industry, is an innovative trailblazer in AI/ML/NLP Automation and an advocate for the betterment of others. Mini’s deep experience and creative inspiration have led VELMENI to the forefront of AI healthcare through predictive and analytical artificial intelligence in dentistry. 

VELMENI’s platform is evolving as the standard-bearer for dental practices.

Mini has acted as Chief Customer Officer at KORE.ai, head of IA for Uber, and Senior Vice President at Citi. With an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School, she provides VELMENI with deep-tech strategy, financial skills, and hands-on operational management. A doer and problem-solver, Mini leads product development, raises capital, fosters a high-performance culture, and is building the most talented team in the industry.

As a Board Member at TiE Silicon Valley and throughout her career, Mini has brought big-picture thinking to foster technology entrepreneurship, youth engagement, and women’s leadership initiatives—including The Hunger Project to eradicate world hunger and establish women as a force for change-making. This includes establishing first robotics and STEM education for girls.

JAY SETHARUM

Jay Sethuram, a successful serial entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, brings his vast knowledge, experience, and expertise in engineering and management. He is a specialist in the design and development of semiconductors and systems for optical networking.

He was the co-founder and CTO of StratumOne, Fiberlane, and Advancel. These companies became highly successful and were acquired by leading technology companies in Silicon Valley. His contributions spread over next-generation IP over Sonet framers and Sonet multiplexers, ATM networking, and digital signal processing. Prior to his entrepreneurial efforts, Jay had held management and engineering positions at NEC, Intel, National, and Bell Laboratories.

Jay has also played a role in numerous start-ups as an investor and is a limited partner with large VC funds in Silicon Valley with a varied portfolio in Telecom, Software, and Animation films.

Jay holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from India.

Alan E Friedel, DDS

Alan E Friedel, DDS is in private practice of General Dentistry in the Miami Florida Area. He is Chairman of the Department of Basic Dentistry at the Florida Institute of Advanced Dental Education a CODA-approved AEGD program. Dr. Friedel has served in many capacities in the American Dental Association including Chairman of the Council on Dental Benefit Programs, Chairman of the Code Revision Committee, Chairman of the National Commission on Dental Specialties and their Certifying Boards. He is a Past President of the Florida Dental Association. Dr. Friedel brings his broad experience as educator, practitioner, dental insurance consultant, and project coordinator to Velmeni in his role as Chief Business Officer.

Dr. Maxine Feinberg

Great news from Velmeni on the eve of International Women’s Day! Dr. Maxine Feinberg has joined Velmeni as the Chief Strategy Officer. Dr. Feinberg brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. 

Velmeni, an advocate for women and the betterment of society, is the innovative AI leader at the forefront of health care in dentistry. Velmeni’s AI-driven diagnosis and dental care workflow to improve patient outcomes. Velmeni’s platform is evolving as a standard-bearer for dental practices.

 Dr. Feinberg served for four years as the Fourth District Trustee of the American Dental Association and was the third woman to hold the Office of ADA President in 2014-15.

 Dr. Feinberg is a past president of the New Jersey Dental Association and the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry, where she served for nine years. She has been a delegate in the ADA and New Jersey Dental Associations House of Delegates. Dr. Feinberg initiated the New Jersey Give Kids A Smile campaign in 2002 and 2003. She remains active in both her component dental society and the NJDA.

Dr. Feinberg graduated from New York University College of Arts and Sciences in 1977 and NYU’s College of Dentistry in 1980. She returned to NYU after her residency in anesthesiology and working as a general dentist and treating patients confined in nursing homes to complete her certificate in Periodontics in 1984.

Dr. Feinberg currently serves as a Member at Large to the CDCA Board. She still serves as an ADA Delegate to the FDI World Dental Congress. Dr. Feinberg serves as a Commissioner for CODA and sits on the NJDDS/Donated Dental Services and the Gillette Hayden Foundations boards.  

 She is a fellow in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Dr. Maxine Feinberg, a Cranford, New Jersey based periodontist, was elected In November 2013 to serve as President –Elect of the American Dental Association. Dr. Feinberg resides in Westfield New Jersey with her husband John Wynne. She is the proud mother of two daughters Haley and Rebecca Wynne.

Dr. Arvin Oberai
Chief Dental Officer at Velmeni

Dr. Oberai’s 42 years of career, has been focused on providing quality patient care, serving and improving the dental profession. He graduated from Government Dental College in Mumbai, India. In 1973.  Dr. Oberai continued his dental education at New York University after migrating to the US. He started private practice in Winter Park, Florida in 1980. He sold his practice in 2020 to continue on an entrepreneurial track to join an AI company to make an impact in dental care.  He has served as a member of ADA, FDA & CDA.

Larry W. Nissen, DDS

Larry W. Nissen received his undergraduate and dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and did his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida; completing that residency in June, 1981.  He has maintained a private practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Merritt Island and Titusville, Florida, since 1985.  

Dr. Nissen currently serves as the Chairman of the IAOMS Foundation.  He is a past president of the Brevard County Dental Society, the Florida Dental Health Foundation, the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Florida Dental Association and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He previously was a member of the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation and General Chairman of the Florida National Dental Congress.  

Dr. Nissen is the recipient of Florida Dental Association’s Dentist of the Year 2000, the Leon Schwartz Lifetime Achievement Award, the AAOMS Committee Person of the Year, and the Robert V. Walker Distinguished Service Award of the AAOMS.  He holds Honorary Fellowship in the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Honorary Fellowship of the International Board for the Certification of Specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Distinguished Fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Nissen and his wife Carol reside in Merritt Island, Florida, and have two children, Shannon and Ryan and two granddaughters Jennifer and Amelia; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Haley and Avery Grace Haley.
